The Friends of the Tellico Village Library

The Friends of the Tellico Village Library, Inc, is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation dedicated to the support of The Public Library at Tellico Village. Funds from Friends memberships are a significant revenue source to the Friends' operating budget that covers the mortgage of the library and over half of the library's operating expenses.  Memberships are renewable annually.

Friends' Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is in charge of managing the finances and the maintenance of The Public Library at Tellico Village. Board of Directors   Auxilliary Committees

The Board of Directors meets monthly.  The annual meeting of the Friends of the Tellico Village Library (open to the public) is held in the 4th quarter of the year.  The current bylaws and official minutes of the Board meetings area available upon request at the library.

USDA-guaranteed, long term, low interest loan*

* The Friends were unable to receive a grant because Loudon County had too high of an average income (but just barely) to qualify.  Qualifying for a bank loan was unsuccessful because there is no fixed income source.  The library is located in an unincorporated part of Loudon County and has no tax base. 

The Friends of the Tellico Village Library qualified for a Federal government loan under the USDA Rural Development Program.

The Friends of the Tellico Village Library provide the bulk of the operating funds for the library including the mortgage on the new building.

The monthly loan payment is $5,886

The monthly reserve payment is $588.60
