Volunteers are the library's greatest asset. The library has only two paid employees, the full-time library manager and the part-time assistant. All other duties are performed by volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities encompass a wide variety of duties such as working the circulation desk (three times monthly), reading to the disabled or delivering books to residents in local nursing homes. We also need volunteers to help plan, organize, and work at our fund raising events. Social media development and helping with publicity are areas for those who are comfortable with computers. Our book sales are an important source of funds and we need volunteers for sorting and pricing books in addition to working at the sale.
