Library Collection

The Public Library at Tellico Village has over 20,000 items for public use.

  • Fiction and nonfiction Books

  • Reference materials

  • Books on CD

  • Entertainment and Educational DVDs

  • Travel Books and DVDs, and language tapes

  • Memory Care collection with picture books, puzzles, themed backpacks with activities from the 1950s and 1960s, busy bottles, and books for the care giver

  • Magazines that may be checked out for one week

  • News Herald, Knox News Sentinel, Wall Street Journal and Village Connection papers

  • Large print books

  • Children and Young Adult Book collections

  • Literacy backpacks for children (packs on various themes containing books, DVDs, puzzles, and toys)

  • Telescope lending

  • Interlibrary Loan

  • Renew or place books on hold from home

If our library does not have the book you are looking for in its collection, we may be able to obtain it for you from another library. Books are borrowed from other Tennessee Public Libraries through the interlibrary loan system. The process may take one to three weeks. The due date is determined by the lending library, not our library. There is no fee for interlibrary loans. This service is provided by the Tennessee State Library and Archives.

Download the interlibrary loan form and return it to the Circulation Desk at the library.

Drop Off Center

As a public meeting place, we serve as a drop off center for a variety of community partners.

  • Lion's Club collects used eye glasses and hearing aids.

  • Toys for Tots collection site (seasonal)

  • HOA payments must now be made on-line only.

  • Used books for the Book Sales (Only books, DVDs, audio books, puzzles and games in good condition)

Miscellaneous Services

  • Tellico Village name badges can be ordered and picked up at the Circulation Desk ($15 each).

  • Archiving of documents for Friends of TV Library, HOA and POA

  • Proctoring of TWRA boat safety exams

  • Federal and State Tax forms are available during tax season.

  • Voter Registration by mail forms

Medical and Wellness

The library has a collection of books, magazines, and educational DVDs on consumer health and medical topics. Research assistance is available for medical resource information.

Resources for Permanently and or Temporarily Disabled

  • Book delivery to permanently or temporarily disabled patrons in Loudon County, including visually handicapped

  • Book delivery to area nursing homes and assisted living facilities

  • Information on enrolling in the state program for the blind and visually handicapped to receive free materials through the mail

  • Large print books in fiction and non fiction

Children

  • Ruff Reading Program: Children can read to specially trained dogs.

  • Free Homework Hotline, available 3 pm – 8 pm Monday through Thursday. 615-298-6636

  • Resource Center for home schooled children is available at the Just for Kids! page

Technology

  • Seven computers are available for public use in our computer room.

  • Wi-Fi is available throughout the facility and parking area 24/7.

  • Printing and copying service is available for a small fee.

  • iPad classes are offered periodically.

  • Assistance with downloading ebooks from TN R.E.A.D.S.

  • Scan to email service is available at no charge.

  • We do not offer faxing services at this time.
