Cheryl was introduced to the principles of good writing at an early age by her mother, the managing editor of a publishing house. Cheryl worked in several different fields and then took up writing in retirement. She is the author of 11 books, including one thriller about an attack on a nuclear weapons convoy out of Y-12 in Oak Ridge, and a series of murder mysteries. Cheryl has been the president of the Authors Guild of East Tennessee since January 2019, and has lived in Tellico Village since 2003.
