Tellico Blockhouse

The Tellico Blockhouse, located in Vonore, was a United States fort used from 1794 through 1807. It provided a check against encroachment of unauthorized settlers on Cherokee land. This site was also the home of the Tellico Factory (trading post) and its aim of teaching modern methods of agriculture and industry to the Cherokee.

Join historian Joseph Blanco as he leads this multimedia presentation and brings the Tellico Blockhouse back to life.

Program fee of $5 due to Joseph at time of class.
